What is King Seal?

Listed on the starting island. The Update 16 video also shows a King Seal caught during Bloodmoon. At least two players must lasso unless a Boss Catcher stat is on your lasso. The written guide says every contributor keeps a copy and the pet cannot be stolen. A same-month video describes not receiving the pet when the player was not the top participant.
